Get ready for the GCHWC’s annual Holiday party on Saturday, Dec 8th at Zion Church (downstairs room) in Norwood from 12:00 noon to approx 2:30pm.
We’ll start at 12:00 noon with a prepared meal with all the fixings catered by Boston Market. There will be a $10 per person charge for members (please pay Paul at the door). Thank you to all those that have RSVP’d!
We’ll have two kinds of pie provided with the meal, but if you’re feeling merry and would like to bring holiday cookies or another treat, we won’t complain! (not mandatory).
We’ll also be providing various soft drinks, however if you want anything special (no alcohol please), plan on bringing that.
Please consider donating an item or two (diecast or other) for door prizes. Every paid entry will receive a ticket and it makes it fun to be able to pick from the prize pile. We should have around 30 people attending!
“Steal the Santa” gift exchange
As the main event this year, after our meal, we’ll kick off our “Steal the Santa” gift exchange.
To participate, everyone should bring one wrapped gift in the $10-$15 range (or so). We’ll draw numbers and let the fun / swapping begin! Clever / creative gifts and imaginative wrapping really add to the event. Can you come up with the one gift everyone wants?
At this time of year, we make an effort to give back to the community. Please plant to bring new, unwrapped toys to donate to a local organization (Toys for Tots or Ronald McDonald house). Toys can be for boys or girls and don’t necessarily have to be diecast.
As always, we’re incredibly happy that Zion Church is able to have us for this event and please don’t forget to bring non-perishable food items or paper products as donations to their food pantry.
See you all there!
